rest of the book

i think the rest of the books tone was very suspenseful because you didn't know what was going to happen next like at the end where everyone died including Paul and to keep it even more suspenseful they didn't tell you how paul died i don't get why they didn't say it because at the end it confused me also it didnt say what had happened to kropp but overall this was one of the best books i have ever read it started off a little slow but as the book progressed more things started to happen which made it hard to put the book down especially chapter 10 when kropp was hurt and paul was with him you couldnt put the book down until you read it all the way but open part that stuck out to me was when kropp was injuried in the hospital why paul told him he was shot 4 inches up when it was only 1 inch

CHAPTER 4

on page 58 the men are ordered to take thier cigarettes and pipes out i dont get why the get this order because if thier sneaking around in the midst of night shouldnt they be quiet and not have a smeell in the air where the enemy can smeel it and poin them out i also dont get why there is alot of smoke around them if thier standing in a field anther thing i dont understand in this chapter was when they were at the field who eles was thier because it said that showdy figures filed up in lines i also relive the tone of this chapter was caring because paul helped a recruit out during a bombardment the recruit was scared and didnt know how to respond because at the beginning of the chapter paul stats that recruits are not well trained and thats why they die so easily when thier at war

in this video it shows how horrible trench warfare was and how bad soldiers lives were in trenches like on how they couldn't leave the trenches unless they wanted to get blown up and on how weapons improved during war to help soldiers this video proves that during war soldiers suffer alot of hardships and for sometimes nothing like for example Russia lost millions of soldiers and then they drop out of the war this shows how pointless war really was

in chapter 3 it talks about how reinforcements came in and were all mad due to how bad the food were and how little food was and i think this shows that during that time veterans were all poor and didn't get paid because the government was poor because of all this war so soldiers had to settle for what ever they got which explains on why propaganda started and why government started asking civilians for money to pay for war
